SHORTBREAD COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 c. soft butter
3 1/4 c. flour sifted

Cream butter. Add sugar a little at a time. Mix well. Add flour a little at a time. Beat well using a mixer. Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 250 degrees for 1/2 hour. I put them on bottom shelf 15 minutes then on top shelf for 15 minutes. When cool, coat with powdered sugar.
