OATMEAL FLAT BREAD 
2 c. white flour
2 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. warm water
1 tsp. baking soda

Dissolve baking soda in warm water. Combine remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Divide dough into thirds or fourths and roll each section like pie crust. Cut into squares and prick with fork. Bake 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Serve with cream cheese, jelly, or butter.
