1 stick butter
20 oz. can crushed pineapple
1 can cherry or strawberry pie filling
1 box yellow (not lemon) or white cake mix
Optional: 1 c. shredded coconut & 1 c. chopped nuts
Melt butter in a Pyrex measuring cup in the microwave (or in the oven while it is heating). In a 9 x 13 inch pan spread undrained pineapple and pie filling evenly. Sprinkle dry cake mix over the fruit. Add either or both the coconut and nuts as desired. Dribble the butter over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
