WORLD'S BEST ONION RINGS 
6 med. mild onions, sliced about 1/4 inch thick and separated into rings
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 beaten egg
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. vegetable oil

Mix all ingredients, except onions together. Batter should be smooth, not lumpy. Dip rings into batter and fry in deep hot vegetable oil, cooking a few at a time. Fry until golden on both sides. Drain on paper towels. Just before serving; sprinkle with salt.
