BEST EVER RED BEANS 
2 c. pinto beans
1 can beer
1 bay leaf
2 slices bacon
2 tbsp. bacon grease
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 tbsp. chili powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp. sugar
1 lg. onion
2 cloves garlic

Wash beans; cover with water. Bring to a boil, then slow simmer. Add onions, garlic, sugar, chili powder, salt and bacon lightly cooked and all bacon grease. Add beer and bay leaf 1/2 hour before beans are done. Add water as needed.
