LOUISIANA BREAD PUDDING 
6 slices bread
2 eggs (or 4 egg whites)
1 lg. can evaporated milk
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 c. water (to dilute milk)

Let bread stand in warm water 10 minutes, drain and crumble. Add sugar, milk, water, eggs and beat well. Add vanilla. Pour in large casserole dish. Cut butter over mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes or until firm.
