STRAWBERRY AND BANANA SALAD 
1 1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
5 medium bananas
About 1/2 tsp. red food coloring
4 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tsp. vanilla
1 qt. strawberries

Mix sugar and cornstarch; add water. Cook until thick. Add vanilla and food color to filling. Let cool. Slice bananas; wash and hull strawberries; slice. After filling is cool, add sliced bananas and strawberries. Refrigerate for two to three hours for better flavor.
