COCONUT CORN FLAKE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening (Crisco, butter, etc.)
1 c. dark brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. coconut
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. corn flakes

Cream shortening; add sugars gradually. Add eggs and mix well. Add coconut and mix. Sift flour once before measuring. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to first mixture. Add vanilla and corn flakes and mix well.

Roll in balls the size of a walnut. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 375 degrees F for about 12 minutes.
