MARGIE'S FROSTED CASHEW COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar, fully packed
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sour cream
1 3/4 c. salted whole cashew nuts (save some for top of cookies)

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Mix well. Add cashew nuts, drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes or until done. Cool and frost with Golden Butter Icing. Top each cookie with a whole cashew nut.

GOLDEN BUTTER ICING:

1/2 c. butter
2 c. sifted powdered sugar
3 tsp. coffee cream or milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla or 1/2 tsp. rum

Lightly brown butter in small pan. Remove from heat and add cream or milk; then the flavoring. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth and thick.
