TWO LAYER LEMON BARS 
FIRST LAYER:

2 c. flour
1 c. butter
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
Pinch salt

SECOND LAYER:

4 eggs, beaten
1/3 c. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour

FIRST LAYER: Sift flour with sugar. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Press into 13"x9" pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. It should look light with brownish edges.

SECOND LAYER: Beat eggs, add sugar and lemon juice and beat until creamy. Stir in flour and baking powder. Pour over baked crust and bake again at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool before cutting into bars. Makes 24 to 36 bars.
