"FULL OF FRUIT" FRUIT CAKE 
1 (1 lb.) pitted dates (1 1/2)
4 oz. red candied pineapple (6)
4 oz. green candied pineapple (6)
4 oz. red candied cherries (6)
4 oz. green candied cherries (6)
1 lb. shelled Brazil, walnuts or pecan halves (1 1/2)
1 c. all-purpose flour (1 1/2)
1 c. sugar (1 1/2)
1 tsp. baking powder (1 1/2)
1/4 tsp. salt (1 1/2)
4 eggs, well beaten (6)
1 tsp. rum flavoring or vanilla extract (1 1/2)

Halve dates and cut pineapple in chunks. Combine with whole cherries and nuts. Add dry ingredients to fruit and nuts. Beat well. Stir in eggs and rum flavoring. Line two 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pans with brown paper. Grease paper and pour in batter. Bake in preheated oven 325 degrees for 1 hour or until done (may be 1 1/2 hours). Cut with electric or sharp knife for clean cut.
