GERMAN PEPPER NUTS 
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1 egg
1/2 c. soft butter
2-3 c. flour

Combine ingredients, knead together until dough no longer clings to hands. Form dough into balls and crescents about the size of a Brazil nut. Bake on greased sheet at 325 degrees for 15 minutes.
