|SWEET AND SOUR MINI MEATBALLS|
1 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. grated onion
1 tbsp. water
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. salad oil
1 sm. green pepper, cut into pieces
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1. In medium bowl mix ground beef, onion, water and salt. Shape mixture into 3/4 inch meatballs.
2. In 10 inch skillet over medium high heat in hot oil cook meatballs until browned on all sides. With slotted spoon remove to bowl.
3. Pour off all but 1 tbsp. drippings from pan. Over medium heat cook green pepper until tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in tomato sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, 1/4 cup water and 1/2 tsp. salt. Over medium heat bring to boiling. Return meatballs to skillet - heat through.
