2 med. lemons
1 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 garlic clove, minced
1 beef top round steak, cut 1 1/4 inch thick (about 2 lbs.)
About 35 minutes before serving, cut 8 slices from one lemon; set aside for garnish. From remaining lemons grate 1 tablespoon peel. Preheat broiler. In small bowl combine grated lemon peel, butter, pepper, salt and minced garlic. Place beef top round steak on rack in broiling pan. Spread half of lemon-pepper mixture over top of steak; broil steak 8 minutes. Turn steak; spread with remaining lemon-pepper mixture. Broil until desired doneness.
