LENTIL SOUP 
1 1/2 c. lentils
6 c. cold water
2 stalks celery
1 med. onion
2 carrots
1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
1 tbsp. vinegar
3 franks
Salt & pepper
Sm. soup bone

Wash lentils. Put in pot with salt, soup bone and water. Cover and simmer for 3/4 hour. Add vegetables (cut in small pieces), the tomatoes, vinegar and pepper. Simmer for another half hour. Slice franks 1/2 inch thick. Put in soup and simmer for another hour. Serves 6.
