|HAM AND BEAN SOUP|
1/2 bag Great Northern beans
1 baked ham bone, trimmings, drippings, etc.
1 lg. onion
Place beans in large pot and cover with water. Bring to boil. Boil briskly for 10 minutes. Drain. Add ham products and onion. Cover with water. Season to taste. Bring to boil, then simmer until beans are done. Feeds 6 hungry people. Serve with hot cornbread and chow chow or raw onions.
