GREEN VEGETABLE CASSEROLE 
1 (16 oz.) can asparagus
1 (16 oz.) can lima beans
1 (16 oz.) can English peas
1 c. grated cheddar cheese

Sauce:

4 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
dash white pepper

To make sauce, melt butter in sauce pan and add salt, pepper, and flour. Blend and add milk stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat. Drain vegetables. Place in 2 quart casserole spooning white sauce over them. Sprinkle cheese on top.

Bake 1 hour at 350°F.

Serves 8.
