4 baked puff pastry patty shells
sauce (see below)
1 cup sliced mushrooms cooked in 1 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 cups diced cooked turkey (or chicken)


3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon minced onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons flour
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 cup chicken or turkey stock
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 to 3 tablespoons dry sherry

Puff pastry patty shells can be found in the freezer section.

Sauté the onion, garlic and mushrooms in the butter. Remove from the heat. Whisk in the flour, salt and pepper. Add hot broth and return to heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sauce has thickened.

When the sauce is cooked, stir in the remaining ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes over very low heat.

Serve hot in baked patty shells.

Makes 4 servings.
