For cake, combine: 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. flour 3 tbsp. cocoa 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. milk
For Sauce: 5 tbsp. cocoa 1 c. sugar
Combine Sauce in 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Mix together top 3 ingredients for cake. Add flour, cocoa, and baking powder alternating milk; add nuts. Drop batter into sauce, using tablespoon. Bake 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Let stand a few minutes to let sauce thicken. Serve with ice cream.
