18 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 lb. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. nuts, chopped
Sit in warm place so they can melt. In a 6 quart pan combine 4 1/2 cups sugar and 1 can evaporated milk. Bring to a rolling boil and time 6 minutes, stirring constantly. Take off heat, pour into bowl with the rest of ingredients. Beat 150 strokes until smooth. Pour into 9 x 13 inch buttered pan.
Makes 4 pounds.
