3 c. sugar 1 c. butter 1/2 c. shortening 5 eggs 3 c. cake flour 1 c. milk 1 tsp. each rum, butter, lemon, coconut and vanilla flavoring 1 tbsp. baking powder Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour Bundt or pound cake pan. Cream butter, shortening and sugar, add eggs 1 at a time. Add flour and milk gradually alternating the two. Add the 5 flavors and stir. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. GLAZE FOR POUND CAKE: 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. butter, coconut, lemon, rum and vanilla flavoring Bring mixture to a boil. Pour 1/2 over cake when removed from oven. Cool and turn out of pan. Pour rest of glaze over cooled cake and turn cake. |
