1 c. butter 2 c. sugar 5 eggs 3 c. plain flour 1/4 c. self rising flour 3 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Add flour and milk alternately. Add vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees until done. CARAMEL ICING: 2 c. sugar 1/2 c. caramelized sugar 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 stick butter 3/4 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla Mix 2 cups sugar, milk, egg and butter. Bring to boil and add caramelized sugar. Cook to soft ball stage. Beat and spread on cake. |
