Mix with 3 envelopes plain gelatin; set aside for 10 minutes. Add 2 cups sugar and boil for 15 minutes until golden brown and thick. Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans).

Pour into an 8x8 greased pan. Let stand 24 hours at room temperature. Do not cover. Cut into tiny squares, then roll in powdered sugar. Dry some more. Do not put in refrigerator or they will be very sticky.
