BUTTER RUM CAKE
 

1 (18.25 oz.) box butter cake mix
1 (3 oz.) box instant vanilla pudding
1/2 c. vegetable oil
4 eggs, beaten
1 c. water
1 tsp. rum flavoring
Butter Rum Syrup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients, except Butter Rum Syrup. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan or Bundt pan. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes. While cake is still in pan, pour syrup over it. Let set in pan for 30 minutes.

BUTTER RUM SYRUP:

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. water
1/2 tsp. rum flavoring

Place all ingredients, except flavoring, in small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Add flavoring. Pour hot syrup on cake.
