1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix with pudding
1 can Eagle Brand milk (condensed)
2 sticks butter
14 oz. pkg. Kraft caramels
1 c. chopped pecans
Mix cake according to instructions on box. Divide batter in 1/2.
To 1/2 of batter add 1 melted butter + 1/2 can of milk. Mix well and pour into 9 x 12 inch greased and floured pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees - remove from oven. As this is cooking and cooling:
Melt 1 butter and caramels over low heat. Remove from heat and add remaining milk and nuts. Spread on top of cooled cake. Add remaining 1/2 batter on top of caramel mix. Bake again at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
This is fantastic - when you serve this you will be the most popular person forever. This can be frozen and thawed for later consumption.
