3 eggs
1 c. oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. cooked mashed prunes
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. vanilla

Blend sugar and oil; add eggs. Add dry ingredients, alternately with milk. Add vanilla, prunes and nuts. Pour into pan and bake at 300 degrees until brown, 45-60 minutes.

PRUNE CAKE ICING:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. white syrup
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. soda

Boil until it forms a soft ball in water. Beat while pouring over hot cake.
