POUND CAKE LOAF
 

1/2 c. soft butter
1/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour (all-purpose)
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. almond extract

Cream butter and shortening. Gradually add sugar, beat well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beat after each. Combine flour and baking powder and add to creamed mixture, mix well. Add milk and beat 5 minutes. Stir in flavoring. Pour batter into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Cool.
