1 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 c. milk
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Have all ingredients at room temperature. Cream butter, Crisco, add sugar. Cream very good. Add eggs one at a time mixing after each. Add extracts. Sift dry ingredients together. Starting with milk and ending with milk; add flour and milk alternating the two. Pour into well greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
