LEMON POUND CAKE
 

2 sticks butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
5 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. lemon extract

Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Add milk and blend well. Add vanilla and lemon. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Slowly add flour and baking powder that have been sifted together. Bake in a greased and floured tube or bundt pan for 1 hour at 325 degrees.
