1 pkg. Duncan Hines deluxe II cake mix (yellow or any
flavor)
1 pkg. Jello (3 oz.) any flavor, if chocolate cake mix use
cherry Jello
1 env. Dream Whip
1 c. water
3/4 c. oil
4 eggs Mix cake mix, Jello, and Dream Whip together, then add water, oil and eggs. Beat 4 minutes at medium speed. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes. Serves 8 FROSTING: 1 c. Crisco
3 c. cake flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond flavoring
2 lbs. confectioners' sugar, sifted
Coloring if desired Cream Crisco, flour and salt. Add to water. Mix well with flavorings. Add sugar to mixture 1/4 at a time, mixing after each addition. Will frost liberally two 9 inch layers or 9 by 2 by 15 inch cake. |
