1/2 c. Crisco 2 sticks butter 3 c. sugar 5 eggs one at a time 3 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 c. milk 1 tbsp. lemon flavoring 1 tbsp. orange flavoring 1/4 tsp. salt Mix well and bake 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Sift dry ingredients before adding to mixture. LEMON GLAZE FOR LEMON CHIFFON POUND CAKE: 2 1/2 c. powdered sugar 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. salt Mix juice with powdered sugar and let stand for a few minutes then pour over hot cake. |
