Bake Duncan Hines lemon cake mix in 2 (8") layer cake pans.
Cool cooked layer cakes. Split each. These can be frozen for future use if desired.
In double boiler combine filling ingredients. Cook, stirring constantly until thick. Takes about 5 minutes. Cool.
Whip 1 pint all purpose cream. Fold into cooled filling. Spread on layers, top and sides. Keep cool until serving. Delicious, light, lemon dessert.
