Prepare cake mix as directed on box. Pour into two round cake pans and bake.
Cool completely.
Mix French Vanilla pudding mix according to box directions. Blend in the cream cheese with an egg beater.
Frost one layer of the cake with mixture, then place second cake on top and finish frosting entire cake.
Frost the entire cake again with the Cool Whip. Spread the top of cake with the pineapple chunks.
Sprinkle cake with coconut and chopped nuts.
Slice maraschino cherries in half and place on top of cake
