BAKED ACORN SQUASH
 

3 med. acorn squash
1/3 - 1/2 c. honey (Log Cabin syrup may be substituted)
3 tbsp. butter
Salt
Ground nutmeg

Cut squash in halves; remove seeds. Pour boiling water into shallow baking dish just to cover the bottom. Place squash, cut side down in dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Turn cut side up in pan; place 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons honey and butter in each squash cavity. Sprinkle with salt and nutmeg.

Continue baking 20 to 30 minutes longer or until squashy is tender, basting one or twice with syrup. Serves 6.
