8 c. cucumbers, sliced thin 1 1/2 tbsp. salt 1 med. onion, cut up 1/2 c. vinegar 1 1/2 c. sugar Mix salt and cucumbers and onions. Cover and refrigerate for two hours. Then drain off juice, but do not rinse. Mix sugar and vinegar and stir until dissolved. Pour over cucumbers and onions. Place in containers and freeze. Can be thawed and eaten anytime. |
