BAKED CARROTS AND ONION RINGS
 

1/4-1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
12 med. carrots
2 med. onions
4 tbsp. water

Melt butter; stir in lemon juice, salt and sugar. Pare carrots and cut into strips. Cut onions into thin slices and separate into rings. Arrange in layers of carrots and onions. Pour mixture of butter over layers. Add water. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
