STUFFED TOMATO SLICES WITH CREAMY
CHICKEN SAUCE
 

3 c. soft bread crumbs
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. chopped onions
3 tbsp. chopped crisp bacon
1 tsp. salt
Pinch of pepper
1 egg
4 tomatoes (cut in half)

Cook onions in butter until soft. Add bread crumbs, chopped bacon, seasonings, beaten egg and mix well. Place a spoonful of this dressing on the cut side of the tomato slices and bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees F.) for 20-25 minutes. Serves 4-6.

CREAMY CHICKEN SAUCE:

1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 can Campbell's chicken soup
1/2 c. milk

Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour and cook until frothy. Then add soup and milk and cook until thickened. Serve over the tomato slices.
