All amounts are approximate as it depends on the size of the head of red cabbage. 1 med. onion, chopped 1/2 to 3/4 stick butter 1 tbsp. granulated sugar 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 to 2 tbsp. lemon juice 2 to 3 tbsp. vinegar Salt, pepper Saute onions in butter. Place all ingredients in a baking dish and mix well. Cover the dish and bake at 350 degrees about 1 1/4 hours. After 45 minutes, stir and taste the cabbage. Adjust seasonings as needed and continue baking. |
