1/2 lb. bacon 1 sm. onion 6 med. potatoes 1 (13 oz.) can Carnation milk 1/3 c. butter 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 5 c. water Chop bacon and onion. Brown bacon and onion in skillet. Remove from pan and put in crock pot. Peel and cube potatoes. Put in crock pot and add water, salt, pepper and butter. Cook covered 2 hours on low heat until potatoes are cooked. Add 1 can Carnation milk during last 1/2 hour. Garnish with chopped chives. Serves 6. |
