1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 3 eggs 1/4 lb. rice Salt & pepper to taste 1/4-1/2 tsp. oregano 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 2 carrots, chopped Dash of MSG 1 gallon water 1 green pepper, chopped 1 med. onion, chopped 3 stalks celery, chopped 3 tomatoes, chopped Mix meat, eggs, rice, salt and pepper to taste, oregano, garlic powder and MSG. Form into meatballs about 1" in diameter. Heat water, add meatballs and cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Add green peppers, onion, celery and carrots. Salt to taste. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour. Makes 12 to 16 servings. Better if allowed to stand in refrigerator a day or two. |
