CHEESY TUNA VEGETABLE CHOWDER
 

1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed chicken broth
2 c. frozen mixed vegetables
1/4 tsp. dried marjoram leaves, crushed
1 c. (4 oz.) cubed American cheese
1 (6 1/2 oz.) can water packed tuna, drained, flaked

Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir until tender. Reduce heat to low. Stir in flour, dry mustard and pepper; cook and stir until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Gradually stir in milk and broth. Stir in frozen vegetables and marjoram. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 3-5 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add cheese and tuna; heat, stirring gently until cheese is melted. Serve with warm biscuits. Yields: 4 (1 1/4 cup) servings.
