OVEN BAKED BEEF STEW
 

1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
2 lb. lean beef stew meat (bite-sized pieces)
6 med. potatoes, cut in sm. pieces
6 med. onions, cut in sm. pieces
3 carrots, cut in sm. pieces
3 stalks celery, cut in sm. pieces
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 c. catsup (can gravy better)

Mix beef in bag with first 3 ingredients, coat well and place in 3 quart casserole. Heat oven to 300 degrees. Place potatoes, carrots, celery and onions on top of meat.

Mix celery soup, catsup (or gravy) together and pour over mixture. Bake in 300 degree oven for 3 hours or until meat is tender. Cover. Stir every so often.
