APPLE SIDE DISH
 

1 pkg. strudel leaves or flaky dough
5-6 apples, peeled, cored & sliced (Cortland or Beauty, Rome)
2 tbsp. apricot jar
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. matza meal

Mix together all, but dough. Unroll dough and put in bottom of deep pan. Put fruit mixture in center of dough. Fold and pinch corners of dough over the fruit. Pinch together. Baste top with mixture of 1/2 cup orange juice and 1 tablespoon oil. Bake at 350 degrees until the apples are soft. Serve as side dish. Spoon out - dough and fruit.
