24 HOUR LETTUCE SALAD
 

1 head lettuce - dry, crisp and broken into bite sized pieces

Put in a 9x13 inch cake pan.

1/2 c. chopped celery

Spread on top of lettuce.

1 pkg. (1 lb.) frozen peas, partially thawed

Arrange on top.

Chop a little onion (about 1/4 to 1/2 cup - depending on taste). Put on top of peas.

Mix:

1 pt. Hellmann's real mayonnaise
2 tbsp. sugar

Spread on top. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover tightly and let set overnight.

Just before serving, sprinkle with bacon bits - or real cooked and crumbled bacon. Chop or slice 6 hard boiled eggs, place on top and serve. Also good with some grated or shredded Cheddar cheese.
