ORANGE ALMOND SALAD
 

SALAD:

6 c. torn mixed lettuce greens
1 sm. red onion, sliced thin
3 cans mandarin oranges, drained
1 can pitted black olives, drained
1/4 c. slivered almonds, may toast

DRESSING:

1 c. salad oil
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. malt vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. celery seed or poppy seed
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tbsp. grated onion

Dressing: Mix all ingredients in blender. Refrigerate.

Salad: On flat glass serving dish or on 6 salad plates: arrange all torn lettuces. Put onion rings on top, then oranges, olives and almonds. Sprinkle dressing on top just prior to serving. Enjoy!
