7 c. lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces 2 oranges, peeled and sliced, cut each slice in half 1/2 medium white onion, sliced thin and separated into rings 1/2 c. sauteed English walnut halves Italian dressing Soak oranges and onion rings in dressing for 30 minutes. Put lettuce, oranges, onion rings, and walnuts in bowl. Toss and add enough of the salad dressing to coat greens. (Sauteed Walnuts: Melt 1 tablespoon butter in skillet; add 1/4 teaspoon salt, walnut halves, and brown over medium heat, stirring constantly.) |
