FROZEN GREEN PEA SALAD
 

1 lg. pkg. frozen green peas
1 sm. to med. onion, preferably purple or red, chopped
8 to 10 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumble
Sour cream

Defrost peas by running cold water over them in a collander, then drain well. Mix together peas, chopped onion and crumbled bacon with the sour cream as the dressing. Do not dilute the sour cream. Keep refrigerated until served.

You can be creative with this dish by adding chopped fresh mushrooms, cheese, water chestnuts, etc. Delicious.
