3 tbsp. butter 1 (5 oz.) pkg. quick-cooking rice 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed consomme 1/2 c. California Sauterne or other white dinner wine 1 (2 oz.) can mushrooms, undrained 4 tbsp. freeze-dried chives 1 c. finely diced cooked ham Melt butter in saucepan; add rice and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until rice is golden brown. Add all other ingredients. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat; cover and keep warm for 15 minutes. Fluff gently with a fork before serving. |
