QUICK BATTER YEAST BREAD
 

2 cakes yeast
3/4 c. warm water
2 c. buttermilk
4 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. butter
6 1/2 c. flour

Put 2 packages of yeast n bowl with 3 cups flour, 4 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons salt.

Heat in pan 3/4 cup warm water, 2 cups buttermilk and 4 tablespoons butter until good and warm. Add to dry mixture and beat with electric mixer 4 or 5 minutes. Add remaining 3 1/2 cups, stirring one cup at a time with big spoon.

Cover bowl - let rise until doubled. (Let rise 30-40 minutes.) Stir dough down and beat for 1 minute. Divide into 2 buttered 8x4 inch loaf pans. Let rise again until it reaches the top. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
