QUICK CARAMEL FROSTING
 

1/12 c. butter (1 stick)
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 3/4 to 2 c. sifted confectioners sugar

Melt butter in saucepan; add brown sugar and milk and cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and cool. Add confectioners sugar until of right consistency to spread, beating well after each addition. Spread.
